Volunteers do most of the work in Bottom Wood

Tasks such as planting, fencing, path maintenance, weeding, minor tree felling and scrub clearance are done by volunteers. Contractors are brought in occasionally for major felling and timber extraction.

Volunteer work parties are held on Sunday mornings once a month, from October until April.  A few additional working parties are held in the summer or on weekdays.
